Why am I having trouble taking a picture of my check?

Here are our best practices for a successful check capture.

When you capture the image of the check, make sure you:

✅ Use a plain background that is dark in color and non-reflective

✅ Ensure all four corners of the check are visible

✅ Lay the check on a flat surface and not in your hand or your lap

✅ Double-check that the amount on the check and the amount you entered in the Spruce app match

✅ Sign the back of the check
