How can I tell if it’s Spruce that’s really contacting me?

Spruce won’t call and ask you for personal information, login, account credentials, or authentication codes. If you are ever contacted by someone stating they are from Spruce, or whose number on your caller ID appears to be Spruce, and they ask for your password or account numbers, it is a scam.

Scammers will use an email address to send text messages. Be sure to examine the email domain to know who the sender is.

If you unexpectedly receive an email or text from Spruce asking for any of this information, contact customer service at 1-855-977-7823 to confirm if it’s legitimate and go from there. Do not click on any links or provide information in response to that message.
